The innovative architect, Apostolos Papavasileiou, made the beachfront apartment in Thessaloniki’s 1960s building stand out with its breathtaking view of the Thermaic Gulf. In the interior design, the lighting study played a crucial role in achieving the final result. It was an integral part of the architectural composition from the initial stages, taking into account the apartment’s southwest orientation. The large openings were strategically placed in this direction to maximize natural light. The artificial lighting concept was tailored to the specific use and operation of each space in the apartment, sometimes emphasizing uniformity and other times emphasizing capacity.
