It is a radical renovation of a 75 sq.m. apartment in a block of flats in the area of Kalamaria in Thessaloniki, which was built in the early 1990s.

The client’s wishes include the design of two bedrooms (a master bedroom and a guest room), as well as the living room, dining room and open kitchen areas which coexist in a single space, with a southern orientation.

As part of the interior design, it was chosen to apply gray shades to construction materials and paint colors, in order to create a neutral and sophisticated environment, where bright colors and patterns will dominate in furniture fabrics and upholstery. Particular emphasis was placed on the intense blue color, such as cobalt blue which was an element of inspiration through the works of the artist Yves Klein.

In the master bedroom it was chosen to design a walk in closet which is located right next to the space where the double bed is placed.

The guest bedroom functions as an auxiliary space for the comfortable accommodation of guests.

The design of the bathroom was made in order to meet the needs of the owner, while at the same time the space was covered with tiles in white and blue tones having a particular linear texture both on the horizontal and vertical axis.

Finally, in the lighting design, maximum importance was given to meeting the needs for functional lighting in all the individual spaces of the apartment and at the same time to the creation of bright points of interest, which will emphasize the architectural design through atmospheric and indirect lighting.
